The Modi government has expanded the cabinet today (Wednesday). Prime Minister Narendra Modi has included a total of 43 new ministers in his team. These faces have been brought forward from different states. More attention has been paid to the states where elections are due next year. 12 Union ministers have resigned before the swearing-in. Among these ministers are the names of veteran leaders like Ravi Shankar Prasad, Prakash Javadekar, Dr Harsh Vardhan and Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. Today a total of 10 ministers took the oath of office and secrecy in English and the remaining 33 ministers in Hindi.
Among the cabinet ministers, only two ministers who took oath in English were Sarbananda Sonowal and Hardeep Singh Puri. The remaining 13 cabinet ministers took oath in Hindi. Among the ministers of state, eight ministers took oath in English, including Rajiv Chandrashekhar, Shobha Karandlaje, A.K. Narayanaswamy, Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Bisheshwar Tudu, Shantanu Thakur, L. Murugan and Nishith Pramanik. 20 Ministers of State took the oath of office and secrecy in Hindi.
Instructions to all new ministers of Modi cabinet to stay in Delhi till August 15: Sources
It has been reported quoting sources that all the new ministers have been asked to stay in Delhi till August 15. The ministers have been instructed to do the work related to the ministry in the Parliament itself in the monsoon session of Parliament and set a fixed time for meeting the MPs. Must be present in the House at the time of his roster duty in Parliament.

Significantly, Jyotiraditya Scindia, a Rajya Sabha MP from Madhya Pradesh, has taken oath as a cabinet minister. In the year 2020, he left Congress and joined BJP. He played an important role in toppling the Kamal Nath government of Madhya Pradesh. Scindia has been a minister of state in the Manmohan Singh government.
