The daily infection rate of corona virus in the country has increased to 1.09 percent, PM Modi held a review meeting.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high-level meeting on Wednesday to review the current situation and public health preparedness amidst increasing cases of Kovid-19. PM Modi was apprised of the influenza situation. They were specifically informed about the high number of H1N1 and H3N2 cases in the last few months. Prime Minister Modi called for increasing laboratory surveillance, testing all cases of Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) and expediting genome sequencing.

In a review meeting on the status of Kovid-19 and public health preparedness, PM Modi emphasized the need to follow Kovid-appropriate behaviour. He advised to be careful and cautious.
Officials informed that according to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday, 1,134 new cases of corona virus have been registered in India, while the number of patients under treatment has increased to 7,026.
According to the data released at eight o’clock on Wednesday, the death toll has increased to 5,30,813 with the death of five people due to infection. Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat and Maharashtra have reported one death each. One death has been confirmed from Kerala Covid.
The daily infection rate of corona virus in the country was 1.09 percent and the weekly infection rate was 0.98 percent.
