Wisden has released the team of the 2021-2023 World Test Championship. Wisden selected 11 players on the basis of performance in the World Test Championship held in 2021-2023. This time India’s top players Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul did not get a place in it. While Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant have been selected in the team. Pant is in the team as a wicketkeeper.
On the other hand, no player was selected from Pakistan, Bangladesh and New Zealand. The team was made up of players from 5 countries.

No place for India’s Big 3
India’s top batsmen Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli have not got a place in the team. Rohit Sharma played 10 matches in the entire season and scored 700 runs. Whereas Virat scored 869 runs in 16 matches of this season. Rohit’s average was 43.75. Whereas, Kohli has scored runs at an average of 32.18. Rahul scored 636 runs in 11 matches at an average of 30.28.
Most players from Australia
Most players have been taken from Australia. This includes opener Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labushen, fast bowler Pat Cummins and spinner Nathan Lyon. Apart from this, two batsmen from Sri Lanka, Dimuth Karunaratne and Dinesh Chandimal found place in the team. Kagiso Rabada from South Africa and Johnny Bairstow from England were named in the team.
Babar Azam’s performance is good but there is no place in the team
Pakistan captain Babar Azam has been in good form this season. He played 14 matches in the entire season and scored 1527 runs at an average of 61.08. He was replaced by Australia’s Labushen at number 3. Labushen scored 1509 runs in 19 matches at an average of 53.89.
