Government oil companies have increased the prices of petrol and diesel today i.e. on Thursday. Today, the prices of petrol and diesel in Delhi have been increased by 35-35 paise per liter. After the increase in the prices of petrol and diesel, the price of petrol in Delhi has reached Rs 104.79 and the price of diesel has reached Rs 93.52 per liter. Petrol in 30 states of the country and diesel in 13 states has crossed Rs 100 per liter
Petrol became costlier by Rs 3.15 and diesel by Rs 3.65 this month
Petrol and diesel have become expensive 11 times in 14 days this month. Due to this, petrol has become costlier by Rs 3.15 and diesel by Rs 3.65. Anuj Gupta, Vice President (Commodity & Currency), IIFL Securities says that due to increased demand for crude oil, its price has crossed $ 80 and it can go up to $ 90 in the coming days. In such a situation, petrol and diesel may become more expensive in the coming days.
So far this year, petrol has become costlier by Rs 20.47 and diesel by Rs 19.05
Petrol was Rs 83.97 and diesel Rs 74.12 per liter on January 1 this year. Now it is at Rs 104.79 and Rs 93.52 per liter. That is, in less than 10 months, petrol has become costlier by Rs 20.82 and diesel by Rs 19.40.
Crude oil crosses $ 83
On Friday, Brent crude closed at $ 83.76 per barrel in the US market. This is the highest level of crude oil in 3 years. Earlier in October 2018, crude oil had crossed $83.
Petrol in 30 states and diesel crosses 100 in 13 states
Petrol has crossed Rs 100 per liter in 29 states of the country. Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Manipur, Nagaland, Puducherry, Telangana, Punjab, Sikkim, Odisha, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Tripura, Mizoram, Jharkhand, Petrol is above Rs 100 per liter in Goa, Assam, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Meghalaya and Rajasthan.
On the other hand, when it comes to diesel, it is also above Rs 100 per liter in many places in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Telangana, Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Kerala, Karnataka and Rajasthan.
