In response to a notice issued on the manufacture of coronil medicine, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev's Patanjali Ayurved Ltd has said that the company did not violate any law in the process. The company has also denied producing any drug called the "corona kit" and promoting it as a treatment against the deadly virus. The company said that it had packed only Divya Sansri Vati, Divya Coronil tablets and medicines called Divya Anuketel in a packaging carton so that they could be sent out easily.
In response to the notice, the firm has also stated that it has not commercially sold any kit called Corona Kit nor promoted it as a treatment against Corona. The yoga guru's company said, "We have only promoted the successful trial of the drug before the media." It has also been said in the reply that the notice was the result of misrepresentation of facts by the media. In response, it has been emphasized that he did not violate any rule or law and hence there is no question of action against him.
Uttarakhand Ayurvedic Department said that it is studying this answer sent by Divya Pharmacy, a branch of Patanjali Ayurved Limited. Uttarakhand Ayurvedic Department's licensing officer YS Rawat told that after receiving the reply on Monday, a drug inspector was sent to the company Sent for physical verification where he did not find any corona kit.
Asked if he was satisfied with the answer, Rawat said, "Everyone has seen yoga gurus claiming the product as a treatment for corona and the answer needs to be investigated further." Last Tuesday, 23 June, Baba Ramdev launched a drug called Coronil, on which Uttarakhand AYUSH department issued a notice to Patanjali and sought a reply in this regard.
