Significantly, the Punjab Police has recovered the vehicle of Khalistan supporter and radical preacher Amritpal Singh from a village in Mahatpur. When the Punjab Police chased Amritpal, Amritpal fled away in a motorcycle, leaving behind his car and firearms. Jalandhar Commissioner Kuldeep Singh Chahal said that Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh has been declared a fugitive. Two of his cars have been seized and his gunmen have been caught. 78 close ones arrested so far
Punjab Police is continuously searching for Amritpal Singh since Saturday. Although Amritpal Singh has not been arrested yet. The Punjab Police said in a statement on Saturday that 78 close aides of Khalistan supporter Amritpal Singh have been arrested. Amritpal Singh and his companions were surrounded by the police near Mahetpur village of Shahkot in Jalandhar. Amritpal Singh’s father has also been arrested by the police.
