One person has been killed and many people are said to be in critical condition in a shootout in a company in Texas, USA on Thursday. US President Joe Biden has presented a plan to deal with the crisis, calling this violence “epidemic”. The attack took place in the Bryan area of East Texas. According to the police department, the suspect has been taken into “custody”.
Officials said that the man who shot is an employee of a cupboard maker. An officer has also been injured in this attack. According to Police Chief Eric Buske, police officers were reported to have been attacked in Kent Moore Cabinets around 2.30 pm.
“One person died in the shootout while four more people have been sent to the hospital for treatment. Their condition is said to be critical,” he told reporters. Bryan police have confirmed a total of seven people injured, with one person suffering minor injuries.
The Texas Public Safety Department reported that a policeman was shot “while identifying the suspect involved in the shooting incident in Bryan. His condition remains critical but stable.”
