The sale of Ola’s electric scooter finally started today. The company was unable to make its website live for sale last week due to a technical issue. Customers who have booked the scooter will now be able to complete the purchase process on it. For this, they will have to pay the due amount after choosing the variant and color of the vehicle.

Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has given information about the start of the sale of the scooter on Twitter today. He wrote in his tweet, ‘Ola S1 sales are starting! We are starting it on the basis of reservation. Check your invitation email or check Ola app to know when the sale will start for you.
Two variants of the scooter were launched last month
The company launched two variants of the Ola S1 electric scooter last month. The S1 was priced at Rs 99,999 and the S1 Pro was priced at Rs 1,29,999. These are ex-showroom prices and include subsidy under FAME II scheme but not state government subsidy.

Let us see what you have to do to buy the electric scooter that you had booked to buy from Ola. To complete the scooter buying process, you have to follow four steps.
1. If you have already paid the pre-booking amount, now you have to go to Ola Electric’s website and sign-in with your phone number. After that you have to choose the variant which you want to buy. If you have not registered for the scooter, you can pre-book by paying Rs 499. After choosing the variant, you have to choose the color of the scooter. Ola’s electric scooters are coming in 10 colours. The color option selected at the time of registration can also be changed later.
2. After selecting the color, the payment tab will appear. You will have to pay the remaining amount according to the price of the variant that you have chosen. For this, you will have to pay an advance of Rs 20,000. If you are looking to finance the scooter, then the EMI for the S1 will start from Rs. 2,999 for you. You can also go for the advanced version of Ola S1 Pro with EMI starting at Rs 3,199.
3. Ola Financial Services has tied up with IDFC First Bank, HDFC and TATA Capital to provide loan facility to customers. According to the company, HDFC Bank is providing pre-approved loans on the app of Ola and Ola Electric to the compliant customers. It also informed that Tata Capital and IDFC First Bank will approve the loan immediately after processing the digital KYC.
If you do not want to buy a scooter on loan, then you will have to pay Rs 20,000 in advance. You will have to pay the rest of the price before delivery of the scooter. If you do not want to buy the scooter then you can ask for full down payment and advance back. But you will be able to get this facility only as long as the scooter remains in the company’s factory.
4. When you complete the purchase process, you will be notified by the Company of the delivery date. The delivery of the scooter will start from next month i.e. October and your scooter will reach your home directly. When you can get delivery, you will be informed in 72 hours.
