The Central Government said on Tuesday that the Drug Control Bureau (NCB) has not received any actionable information that reveals the alleged nexus between film industry people and drug traffickers. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kishan Reddy said in written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha that NCB continuously conducted searches, confiscations, arrests and investigations throughout the year on actionable information obtained by it or from other sources.

"During the period of the lockdown of Kovid-19, the NCB did not receive any actionable information which exposed the collusion between film industry people and drug smugglers," he said.
"However, a case was registered by NCB's Mumbai Regional Unit on August 28, 2020 in this regard," Reddy said. So far 10 people have been arrested in this case. In this campaign, drugs like Ganja, Hashish, Tetra Hydro Canibanol and Lysergic Acid D-Ethylamide were seized.
