Farm Laws: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) welcomed the Supreme Court’s order to stay the implementation of the three agricultural laws and called it a positive step towards justice for farmers. Nawab Malik, Maharashtra minister and NCP national spokesperson tweeted, “Supreme Court’s stay on implementation of agricultural laws is a welcome and positive step towards justice for farmers”.
He said, “The central government should now give up its stubborn attitude of working in this manner and correct its mistake by accepting it.” Along with NCP is also a component.

Significantly, the Supreme Court on Tuesday set up a high-level committee to consider the doubts and grievances of the farmers, along with stopping the implementation of the three controversial laws in an effort to find a solution to the situation arising out of the farmers’ movement on the borders of Delhi. The court has suggested names of Harsimrat Mann, agricultural economist Ashok Gulati, Dr. Pramod Kumar Joshi (former Director National Agricultural Research Management), Anil Dhanwat as members of the committee.
