Toilets in space have long been an issue. All the passengers who have gone to space missions so far have used diapers. For this, they have been carrying special diapers with them. To solve this problem, NASA has asked people from all over the world to share the idea that you can tell how a washroom can be built in space. NASA needs a washroom that works on the lunar surface for at least a week. NASA has also partnered with social network Herox (HeroX) for the new "Lunar Lu" challenge.
Moon walk preparations
Science and technology has advanced so much, yet today diapers have to be used to go into space. America is preparing to take people to the moon by 2024. But before this, a major problem before the US space agency NASA stands as a washroom. NASA statement that- We have asked the global community to send us the design concept of fully capable, low mass toilets. The design should be such that it can be used on both space and moon.
That's why the public's help
Why does NASA want public help? In response to this question, Interbartolo of NASA team said- We want to open our eyes to the variety of designs coming in the next two months through this challenge. We are very serious about space toilets. There are many things outside the world of scientists that we do not know, but the public can tell.
If a person presents a concept of space toilet and is selected, then he will be given Rs 15 lakh for the first place. 7 lakh 55 thousand rupees for the second place and 3 lakh 77 thousand rupees for the third place. Information on submitting the idea will be found here.
