The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed another charge sheet against the banned organization Popular Front of India (PFI) in the Nizamabad case on March 16. The agency has named five accused in the charge sheet filed in the Special NIA Court in Hyderabad.
These include Sheikh Rahim alias Abdul Rahim, Sheikh Wahid Ali alias Abdul Waheed Ali, Zafarullah Khan Pathan, Sheikh Riaz Ahmed and Abdul Waris. After taking over the investigation from the Telangana Police in August 2022, the NIA filed a case against 11 accused in December 2022. First charge sheet was filed. The Telangana Police had registered the case on July 4 last year.
According to the NIA, these accused used to provoke by wrong interpretation of religious texts. Incited the people, especially the youth, that Jihad was necessary to reduce the suffering of Muslims in India. After recruiting new boys, these people would send them to Weapon Training Camp, where they were trained to kill the victim by attacking the throat, stomach and head.

The NIA has written in the charge sheet that all the five accused are associated with the trend cadre of PFI. Their job was to incite the Muslim youth and make them radical. These accused were found recruiting boys into PFI and giving arms training in special training camps. Their aim was to make the country an Islamic state by 2047.
