41-time champions Mumbai have made a strong comeback in the final match of Ranji Trophy. He has scored 374 runs in the first innings. Sarfaraz Khan scored a century from his side.

On Thursday, the second day of this five-day match, Mumbai extended their innings to 248/5 and added 126 runs to the score. However, the team also lost three wickets. Apart from Sarfaraz, Shams Mulani was dismissed after making 12. Tushar Deshpande was out for 6.

Sarfaraz’s eighth hundred is the top scorer of the current season
Sarfaraz Khan (134) scored a hundred in the first innings of the final. He faced 243 balls in his century innings. This included 13 fours and 2 sixes. He started his innings with 40 runs today. He is also the top scorer of the current season.

Sarfaraz, 24, has scored his eighth century of his first-class career. In the last 14 Ranji innings, Sarfaraz has scored one triple century, two double centuries, four centuries and three half-centuries.

Four for Gaurav, two for Anubhav
On the second day, the bowlers of Madhya Pradesh also maintained the pressure. He did not allow Sarfaraz to play freely. Gaurav Yadav took four, Anubhav Agarwal took three, Sarshan Jain took two and Kumar Karthikeya took one wicket.

MP made a comeback after a good start to Mumbai on the first day
Prithvi Shaw and Yashasvi Jaiswal gave Mumbai a good start. Both of them added 87 runs in the first wicket partnership. Shaw was bowled by medium pacer Anubhav Agarwal after scoring 5 fours and a six off 79 balls. After this, Jaiswal along with Armaan Jaffer took Mumbai past 100 runs.

Mumbai’s second wicket fell on the score of 120 when Jaffer made 26 off 56 balls and was caught by Yash Dubey off the ball of IPL star left arm spinner Kumar Karthikeya. By evening, Mumbai had lost five wickets.
