On Sunday, an Inspector General (IG) level inquiry was ordered into the case related to the alleged sexual assault of his minor son in Kerala (Kerala). A case has been registered against the woman under the POCSO Act. However, the second son of the woman has alleged that her father forced her brother to make such allegations.
Significantly, a 37-year-old woman, mother of four, was arrested recently for “sexual harassment” of her 14-year-old son. The arrest of the woman was made on the basis of the complaint of her separated husband after the report of the District Child Welfare Committee.
“PTI-Bhasha” was told by the police, “We received a complaint from the boy’s father, which was sent to the Child Protection Committee. An FIR was lodged against the boy’s mother upon the report of the committee. We have also recorded the statement of the boy.
A court has sent the woman to judicial custody. However, there was a new twist in this case when the boy’s younger brother told the media on Saturday that his father only forced the children to give statements against the mother.
According to reports, after separation due to domestic issues with the wife, her husband took 17,14 and nine-year-old sons with them to the Gulf country. The couple also has a six-year-old daughter who lives at her grandmother’s house. The person had recently given a complaint to the police, alleging that when his second son came to live with him, his behavior was a bit of revenge. When questioned, he spoke of “sexual harassment”.
Due to the contradiction in the statements, the state police chief Loknath Behera has ordered an inquiry into the matter with Inspector General of Police Harshita Attaluri.
