After this, he separated himself from politics and retired from the political world. But once again after four years, he has now started his second political innings with the BJP. Mithun’s script to join BJP was written only when he met Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat. However, Mithun Chakraborty was considered a leftist before joining the Trinamool. He was considered close to the then Sports Minister Subhash Chakraborty during the Left parties’ government. In his youth, Mithun had described himself as a leftist. For this reason, the people of the state were surprised when they joined Mamta. Once again, he has surprised everyone with his move.
