The engine of the Rajdhani Express going to Bangalore caught fire near Vikarabad district in Telangana on Sunday night. An official of South Central Railway (SCR) gave this information. The official said that all the passengers in the train are safe. SCR Chief Public Relations Officer CH Rakesh said that the incident occurred around 9 pm when the Rajdhani Express going from New Delhi to Bangalore was passing through Navandagi railway station.
He said that the loco pilot saw smoke coming out of the engine and he stopped the train as a precaution. Minor flames were confined to a small part of the engine and later the engine was separated from the bogies. Chief PRO said that the fire was controlled by a fire engine.
