Today i.e. on Wednesday, the stock market closed at a new high. Sensex climbed 476 points to 58,723 and Nifty climbed 139 points to close at 17,519. During the trading, there was a great rally in the market. During this, the Sensex touched a record level of 58,777 and the Nifty touched a record level of 17,532. Earlier, the Sensex opened at 58,354 and the Nifty opened at 17,387.

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 22 shares rose and 8 shares closed in the red. In which NTPC shares closed with a gain of 7.16% and Bharti Airtel shares by 4.53%. Shares of Titan and HCL Tech were up over 2%.

During the business, there was a great rise in the shares of IT and public sector banks. On the NSE, the PSU Bank index closed with a gain of 2.83% and the IT index by 1.82%. At the same time, NTPC’s stock became the top gainer of Nifty with a gain of 7.46%.

BSE’s market cap crosses Rs 259 lakh crore for the first time
3,421 shares were traded on the BSE. In which 2,055 shares gained and 1,246 shares closed in the red mark. With this, the total market cap of companies listed on BSE has crossed Rs 259 lakh crore for the first time. Earlier on Tuesday, the Sensex climbed 69 points to 58,247 and the Nifty climbed 24 points to close at 17,380.

Upper circuit in 416 shares on BSE
During trading on the BSE, 265 shares were seen trading at a 52-week high and 16 shares at a 52-week low. Apart from this, 416 shares got upper circuit while 181 shares got lower circuit.
