The problem of shortage of Kovid vaccine has arisen in many places in Maharashtra. In many places there is just three days stock. In Mumbai and many other cities, the vaccine stock is ending fast, in which state Health Minister Rajesh Tope told NewsBust that the state has made the Center aware of this crisis.
Tope said that the vaccine stock in the state is sufficient for just three days. We have requested the Center to send us more vaccines. This is the condition of the state where the maximum cases of corona are coming up every day. In Mumbai too, the stock is just for three days. He told that he had talked to the Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan about this on a video conference on Tuesday.
He told that ’14 lakh doses are available as on date, which means that there is only three days of stock. So if we give five lakh vaccine doses every day, then we will need 40 lakh doses every week. Tope told that he told Dr. Harsh Vardhan that ‘many of our vaccination centers do not have vaccines, due to which they have to be closed. If there is no dose, then they are sending people back. I am asking you to supply us the vaccine.

Rajesh Tope has spoken to the Center about this. He said that the Center has been asked to supply more Kovid vaccine soon or else it will be difficult to give the second dose of vaccine in the state.
Maharashtra Chief Health Secretary Pradeep Vyas told the news agency Press Trust of India that ‘the vaccine will be finished in many districts by tomorrow. The center is aware of the situation. We have also told in writing. He told that if one gets clear information about schedule and availability, then Maharashtra can be given vaccine to five lakh people every day. In the last few days, about four lakh people are being vaccinated every day in the state. So far about 82 lakh people have been vaccinated under the vaccination drive.
