Maharashtra Police Recruitment: The Maharashtra government has announced to fill more than 12,000 vacant posts in the police department. State Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said here on Monday that the first phase of recruitment of personnel for Maharashtra Police has started.
He said, “The state government has taken a historic decision to fill 12,538 police constable posts. The first phase of recruitment has started, in which 5,297 posts will be filled. The second phase will start soon.”

Maharashtra State Service Preliminary Examination to be held on March 14
At the same time, Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has announced a new date for the preliminary phase of Maharashtra State Service Examination. The examination which was earlier to be held in October 2020, will now be held on 14 March. This year, more than 2.5 lakh candidates are expected to appear in the Maharashtra State Service Preliminary Examination.
