Maharashtra minister Bachhu Kadu allegedly slapped a contractor supplying it to Akola’s Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) over possible poor quality of food being given to patients. The alleged incident took place on Monday evening when Kadu, the minister in charge of Akola district, made a surprise visit to the hospital.
A video has surfaced in which Kadu can be seen allegedly slapping the contractor.
During the hospital visit, Kadu examined the food being provided to the patients, including the patients suffering from Kovid-19 and was angered to find that the quality of the food was reportedly poor.

He called the contractor to seek clarification on the quality of the food and other issues and allegedly slapped him when he did not get a satisfactory reply.

Kadu, later speaking to the media, said that he has asked the District Sub-Divisional Officer to investigate the alleged poor quality food and food grains in the hospital and not maintaining records related to the food supply.
