Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel at Ratlam railway station in Madhya Pradesh received cash of over Rs 2 crore 29 lakh and Rs 1 crore. Gold and silver jewelery of over Rs. RPF Commandant Raman Kumar told that RPF Intelligence had received such information that cash and jewelery were to be sent out from Ratlam station. RPF personnel were active on the basis of information. Around 9.30 pm on Friday night, three soldiers of RPF Intelligence were patrolling the railway station when a suspicious person was seen carrying three heavy sacks.
When RPF personnel stopped him and questioned him, he could not give satisfactory answers. When he was taken to RPF post and sacks were opened, more than 2 crore cash and gold and silver jewelery worth more than one crore were found in these bags.
A case has been registered against the arrested accused under sections 145 and 147 of the Railway Act. The information of this entire matter has been given to the Income Tax Department and the team of Income Tax Department has left from Indore. Although the accused was carrying only cash and jewelry, he had to give this money to a person coming from Nagda in the train.
