Bypolls are to be held in 28 assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh. In such a situation, the ruling party BJP and Opposition are trying to woo the Congress voters. The Madhya Pradesh Congress on Saturday released its manifesto for the upcoming by-election. It has been called a ‘promissory note’ by the Madhya Pradesh Congress. It has been prepared according to the needs of the 28 assembly. During the release of the manifesto, former Chief Minister Kamal Nath, Digvijay Singh and other party leaders were present.
The Madhya Pradesh Congress promissory note included the Govardhan Seva Yojana, pension for the families of those killed from Corona, declaring Corona a state-level disaster. Apart from this, if the head of a family dies due to COVID, then it has also been said to give a government job to one member of his family. At the same time it has also been promised to complete the debt waiver of the farmers and regularize the guest teachers. Please tell that guest teachers have been demanding regularization for many years.
It is noteworthy that the then Congress government of the state was reduced to a minority after 22 Congress MLAs resigned and joined the BJP, due to which Kamal Nath resigned as Chief Minister on March 20. Then on 23 March, a BJP government was formed in Madhya Pradesh under the leadership of Shivraj Singh Chauhan. After this, three other Congress MLAs also left the Congress and joined the BJP.
The BJP currently has 107 MLAs out of the total 230 seats in Madhya Pradesh Assembly, while the Congress has 88, four Independents, two BSP and one SP MLA.
