Team India completely dominated the third day of the India-Australia fourth Test. In response to Australia’s 480 runs in the first innings, the team has scored 289 runs at the loss of 3 wickets. Virat Kohli is unbeaten on 59 with Ravindra Jadeja (16*). Both will lead India’s first innings on the fourth day at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
On the third day, India started with a score of 36/0. Captain Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 35 and Cheteshwar Pujara scored 42 runs. Shubman Gill scored his second Test century and his first Test century in India. He got out after scoring 128 runs. Nathan Lyon, Matthew Kuhneman and Todd Murphy got 1-1 wickets from Australia.
Century can come after 39 months
Fifty came in Test after 8 matches, 15 innings and 14 months from Kohli’s bat. Earlier, on 11 January 2022, he had put Fifty in South Africa. Kohli is still unbeaten, if he scores a century then he will have a Test century after 1205 days in Tests.
He last scored his 27th Test century against Bangladesh on 23 November 2019. In such a situation, if he scores a century on the fourth day, then after 3 years, 3 months and 2 weeks in the Test, he will score a Test century with his bat.

Gill’s 5th international century in 3 months
Gill has scored 5th international century this year. This is the second century of his Test career.
113-run partnership between Gill-Pujara
Centenary Shubman Gill made three half-century partnerships on the top order. He made an opening partnership of 74 runs on 126 balls with Rohit. Then after the dismissal of captain Rohit Sharma on the team score of 74 runs, he shared an important partnership of 113 runs on 248 balls for the second wicket with Cheteshwar Pujara. This partnership recovered Team India from the first setback. After Pujara’s dismissal, Gill added 58 runs with Kohli. Here he himself became a victim of Nathan Lyon.

Rohit Sharma completes 17,000 international runs
Indian captain Rohit Sharma has completed 17 thousand runs in international cricket. Rohit is the sixth Indian batsman to do so. Before him, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virender Sehwag have done so.

Australia all out for 480 in the first innings. Amazing batting of Khawaja-Green
The second day of the match was in the name of Usman Khawaja and Cameron Green. Khawaja was dismissed for 180, while Green scored 114. On his own, Australia scored 480 runs in the first innings. Ravichandran Ashwin took the maximum 6 wickets from India.

Australia’s strong start
The Australian team got off to a strong start on the first day. The team has scored 255 runs for four wickets on the first day. Opener Usman Khawaja returned unbeaten on 104 and Cameron Green on 49. Captain Steve Smith 38, Travis Head 32, Peter Handscomb 17 and Marnus Labushen were dismissed for 3 runs.
