The second day of the fourth Test in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia was named after Usman Khawaja and Cameron Green. Khawaja was dismissed for 180 while Green scored 114 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. On his own, Australia scored 480 runs in the first innings. Ravichandran Ashwin took the maximum 6 wickets from India.
By the end of the second day’s play, India had scored 36 runs without loss. On the third day, captain Rohit Sharma 17 and Shubman Gill will lead their innings with a personal score of 18 runs.

Shami got 2 wickets
Apart from Khawaja-Green, Todd Murphy contributed 41, Captain Smith 38, Nathan Lyon 34 and Travis Head 32 from Australia in the first innings. At the same time, Mohammed Shami got 2 wickets from India. Ravindra Jadeja and Akshar Patel got 1-1 wickets.

208 partnership between Khawaja-Green
Opener Usman Khawaja and Cameron Green shared a 208-run partnership to take Australia to a strong score. Ravichandran Ashwin broke this partnership. He got Green caught by Bharat. Then Australia’s score was 378 runs.

In the first session of the second day, the bowlers did not get much help from the wicket, the result was dominated by the Australian batsmen. Till lunch, Khawaja and Green together have taken the team’s score to 347/4. Usman Khawaja has completed 150 runs, while Cameron Green returned unbeaten on 95 runs. 92 runs were scored in this session, while India did not get any wicket. Second: Ashwin got India back
Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin got India back in the second session. He gave three shocks to the Kangaroo team one after the other. In this session, the visiting team lost the wickets of Green, Carey and Stark to score 62 runs.

Australia’s strong start
The Australian team got off to a strong start on the first day. The team has scored 255 runs for four wickets on the first day. Opener Usman Khawaja returned unbeaten on 104 and Cameron Green on 49. Captain Steve Smith 38, Travis Head 32, Peter Handscomb 17 and Marnus Labushen were dismissed for 3 runs.

Before the toss, PM Modi and Australian PM Anthony Albeniz also presented Test caps to their captains Rohit Sharma and Steve Smith. Sitting in golf carts, both the Prime Ministers also inspected the stadium.
