There is a boom in the stock market on Tuesday, the second trading day of the week. Sensex is trading above 61300 by climbing more than 150 points. Nifty is also up by about 50 points. It is trading above 18200. Of the 30 Sensex stocks, 19 are down while 11 are up. UltraTech Cement and IndusInd Bank climbed around 2% each. Nestle, PowerGrid and Kotak Bank are down more than half per cent.
Bumper profits in Keynes’s stock
The listing of Keynes Technology climbed 32.54% to Rs 778 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). Whereas on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the stock was listed at Rs 775, up 32%. Its issue price was Rs 587. This Rs 857.82 crore IPO, which was opened for subscription from November 10 to November 14, received 34.22 times the bids.
zerodha app down
Several users of trading platform Zerodha faced difficulty in trading on its app Kite on Tuesday morning. Many users said on social media that they are not able to place orders or their orders are getting cancelled. According to downdetector.com, 71% of users reported difficulties with trading, while 16% faced problems with the website and 13% with mobile brokerages. Many users also reported the problem on Twitter.
Rupee opened on a positive note
The rupee today opened higher by 12 paise at 81.72 against the dollar. On Monday, the rupee had declined by 5 paise to close at 81.79 against the dollar. The dollar index, which gauges the dollar’s strength against a basket of six currencies, fell 0.24% to 107.57. Experts believe that Indian A is expected to trade in a narrow range amid a strengthening dollar and caution in the markets.
Sensex was broken 518 points on Monday
The stock market was declining on Monday, the first trading day of the week. The Sensex closed at 61,144, down 518 points or 0.84%. The Nifty also closed at 18,154, down 153 points or 0.84%. 22 out of 30 Sensex stocks declined. Tech Mahindra was the biggest loser on Sensex by 2.19%. Axis Bank and Airtel gained about 1.5% each.
