Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) on Wednesday clarified that senior party leader KC Tyagi has been relieved of organizational responsibilities on his repeated requests but he will “remain a strong pillar” of the party. . This clarification has come from the party a day after JDU’s new list of national office bearers was released. Tyagi’s name was not there in the new list.

JDU National General Secretary Afaq Ahmed Khan issued a statement regretting the wrong message being circulated on Tyagi’s name not being in the list of party office bearers, claiming that he has been active in politics for almost five decades.
The statement said that Tyagi had requested to relieve himself of organizational responsibility after the JDU’s National Council meeting in December last year.
Afaq Ahmad Khan said of Tyagi, “On his repeated requests, the party agreed to relieve him of organizational responsibility but he will continue to be a strong pillar of the party along with our leader Nitish Kumar.”
