The BJP chief said, “India was mired in corruption before 2014 (before the Modi government). Scams like 2G, 3G, Commonwealth happened, but today the country (India) is among the leading countries of the world.
He said that Modi has changed the political culture of the country and taken it out of corruption, commission, criminalization and dynastic rule of Congress.
Nadda said that Modi has done this by emphasizing on development focusing on ‘sabka saath, sabka vikas, sabka vishwas and now sabka prayas’.
He claimed that most of the BJP leaders, including Modi and former Karnataka Chief Minister Yeddyurappa, are from ordinary families and have achieved success on their own.
Nadda said, “Congress is promoting dynastic politics even today. They are still behind Rahul Gandhi, whether he is successful or not. They continue to be presented in new ways again and again. They are still focused on promoting family politics.”
Karnataka BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel, party’s parliamentary board member Yeddyurappa, state ministers JC Madhuswamy and R Ashok were present at the rally, among others.
Earlier in the day, Nadda did roadshows in Tiptur and Chikkanayakanahalli as part of the yatra.
Nadda underlined that the Congress was wiped out in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Goa, Uttarakhand, Tripura, Nagaland and Manipur. He said that after facing defeat in the elections, Rahul Gandhi went to England and said that democracy in India is in danger.
He said, “People defeat you and reject you in elections and you say that democracy is in danger and that too not in India, but in England… One who cannot contest elections, says that democracy is in danger.”
Accusing Rahul Gandhi of instigating America and Europe against India, the BJP chief said that he was posing a threat to India’s sovereignty and it was an insult to the people of the country.
He said, “Rahul Gandhi should apologize to the people of the country… Congress and its leaders have become mentally bankrupt and should be sent home.”
Accusing the previous Siddaramaiah-led Congress government in Karnataka of being mired in corruption, Nadda said today new stories of progress and development are being written under the BJP rule while the state continues to emerge as a destination for foreign investment. has emerged and is at the forefront of innovation and start-ups.
He also appealed to the people to support the BJP in the upcoming assembly elections.
