All parties have already started preparations for the Lok Sabha elections to be held in 2024. Some parties are also preparing to fight elections together. In this episode, National President of Janata Dal United (JDU) Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh has given a big statement regarding alliance with Samajwadi Party. He said on Sunday that the party will forge an alliance with the Samajwadi Party (SP) in Uttar Pradesh for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The special thing is that JDU does not have any elected representative in Uttar Pradesh Assembly.

Lalan Singh said that our party will strengthen the party and its working committee in Uttar Pradesh. If there is an alliance in UP, it will be with the Samajwadi Party. He said that the party will start membership drive in Uttar Pradesh and has set a target of adding about five lakh members.
Lalan Singh also kept his point on the caste-based census. He said that we asked the Central Government for this and even Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi for caste-based census but we have not received any response from there yet. However, with the support of regional parties, we have started caste-based census and will continue.
