Security forces have started a search operation by encircling the surrounding areas.
Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir foiled a major terror plot on Monday. Security forces recovered the IED near the railway crossing at Naugam here. It could be disabled after an hour’s effort. After 11 months, trains will start running again on this railway route from today. It is said that the terrorists had planted the IED plant here with the planning of the big blast. Adjacent to the railway crossing is the Srinagar-Baramulla National Highway. Traffic on the highway was completely halted as soon as the IED was found, later restored.
Alert all over Jammu and Kashmir
IG Vijay Kumar of Kashmir Zone had issued an alert on Sunday about major terrorist incidents in Jammu and Kashmir. The IG has issued orders to increase security at all important places. He said that snipers have been deployed on all tall buildings in Kashmir. Permanent bunkers are also being replaced. Apart from this, anti-terrorist operations will be intensified throughout the valley so that terrorists can be caught in time.
Weapons found from the forests of Anantnag
On Sunday, the police and army revealed the terrorist’s hideout in Anantnag forest. In the joint operation, the security forces recovered three AK-56 rifles, two Chinese pistols, two Chinese grenades, one telescope, six AK magazines and many other items from the forest of Anantnag.
Police party was attacked three days ago
Three days ago, a police party was attacked by terrorists in a market in Srinagar. In Bagat Barjulla area here, the terrorist openly fired AK-47 bullets at security forces. Two policemen were killed in this firing.
