Four militants were killed in an encounter between militants and security forces in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. There is a possibility of hiding some more terrorists here. Earlier, from the night of 18 February to the morning of 19 February, three terrorists were killed in an encounter in Shopian. All the three terrorists killed in Shopian were associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba’s local outfit Al Badr.
Last week a police party was attacked in Srinagar
In Jammu and Kashmir’s capital Srinagar, a militant escaped by firing on a police party on Friday afternoon. Two soldiers were killed in it. The incident took place in Barjulla in Bagat area.

Last week on Wednesday, militants opened fire on a youth in Srinagar’s Songar area. The young man was seriously injured. Songar is 10 km from Dal Lake. On Wednesday itself, diplomats from 24 countries arrived to take stock of the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. On the same day, security forces in Tral, 43 km from Srinagar, foiled a massive blast and arrested 3 members of Hizubul’s sleeper cell.
