In a meeting of the Dean of Faculty and other officials, the university has decided to set up a Corona Control Committee and a Monitoring Committee to monitor the situation on the university campus.
A statement from the university said that it has been made mandatory for everyone to wear masks and will not be allowed to enter the campus without masks.
“All students are advised to stay at home and avoid physical presence for their academic work, library, laboratory etc. unless it is very necessary.
All COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are intended to enter the campus for academic activities and essential functions, including thermal screening at the gate, wearing masks, social distancing, spitting in public places, and admission with only valid evidence .
According to the official statement, the booking of conference hall, auditorium and seminar hall etc. will be canceled till further notice.
Jamia said, “The monitoring committee will closely monitor the situation on the university campus and based on its assessment of the situation, the committee will advise the university administration to take necessary steps,”
“The university has asked all concerned to be vigilant to handle the current Kovid-19 epidemic situation, follow the guidelines and SOPs issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of AYUSH to prevent the spread of the disease. And appropriate steps can be taken.
