For the first time, scientists have taken a picture of a black hole named Sagittarius A* located in the middle of our Milky Way Galaxy. It is 4 million times the mass of the Sun and is 9.5 trillion kilometers away from Earth. This is the second picture released of a black hole. Earlier in April 2019, a photo of the M87 Galaxy’s black hole was revealed.

This unique discovery has been made by an international team of researchers involved in the Event Horizon Telescope Collaboration. He developed this picture with the help of a worldwide network of radio telescopes. The results of this research have been published in The Astrophysical Journal Letters.
