India’s unstoppable record was broken in Dhoni’s city Ranchi. Team India was defeated by New Zealand by 21 runs in the first match of the T20 series. There were many interesting moments to be seen in this Friday evening match full of ups and downs. Washington Sundar’s super catch as well as Ishaan Kishan’s direct throw are going to be remembered for a long time. At the same time, Arshdeep Singh did an over which he himself would like to forget as soon as possible. Let’s go through all such moments once again…
1. Dhoni arriving at Dhoni Pavilion

Washington’s great catch
After losing the toss, the New Zealand team came out to bat and scored 37 runs in 4 overs. In such a situation, Captain Pandya handed the ball to Washington Sundar. Batsman Finn Allen hit the very first ball of the over for a six. However, Sundar equalized on the very next ball. He got Allen caught by Suryakumar Yadav standing at deep midwicket and made him walk. The excitement of this over did not end there.
On the last ball of the over, Sundar made Mark Chapman walk on the score of zero. Left-handed batsman Chapman wanted to push Sundar’s slower ball. But could not handle the shot and the ball went in the air towards the front. Sundar leapt to the right and took the catch with one hand. Chapman returned to the pavilion without opening an account.
Sundar took an amazing catch by Chapman. Chapman was out for zero.
Ishaan Kishan did run out on direct throw
Arshdeep Singh was bowling the 18th over. The 5th ball of the over hit the pads of Daryl Mitchell and went in the direction of short leg. Michael Bracewell, standing at the other end, ran in trying to steal a run. Meanwhile, Ishaan Kishan, who was doing wicket-keeping, caught the ball while running back and hit an amazing direct throw on the stumps from short leg. Bracewell is run out.

3 consecutive sixes in one over by Arshdeep

He did not stop here, he also hit a four on the fourth ball of the over. 27 runs came from this over and New Zealand’s score reached 176 runs. This over made the difference in the match. At one time it seemed that the Kiwi team would be able to score only 150-155 runs.
Arshdeep spent 27 runs in the last over of the Kiwi innings.
Bracewell paid for the run out by bowling
In the second over of the Indian innings, Michael Bracewell equalized his account with Ishaan Kishan. He was run out by Kishan. Bracewell bowled Kishan. The Indian wicket-keeper batsman returned to the pavilion after scoring just 4 runs.

First you…first you got caught
On the 5th ball of the 14th over, Dwayne Conway and Ish Sodhi dropped Sundar’s catch in the confusion of Pehle Aap… Pehle Aap. Sundar wanted to pull this ball, but the ball took the top edge of the bat and pitched over fine leg. In such a situation, wicketkeeper Conway ran backwards to catch the catch. From the other side, Ish Sodhi also comes towards the ball. It appeared that Conway would attempt, but Sodhi went ahead. In the confusion of both, the ball fell on the ground. Meanwhile Sundar steals two runs.
On the second ball of the very next over, Mark Chapman dropped Deepak Hooda’s catch at long off. Not only this, in the last over, Ish Sarhi dropped Sundar’s catch at mid-off.
Sundar fumbles on Ferguson’s bouncer
In the 20th over of the Indian innings, fast bowler Loki Ferguson hit Washington Sundar with a scintillating bouncer. Due to which Sundar staggered. It is a matter of honor that he did not get any injury. Sundar completed his first T20 half-century on the very next ball. He could not win Team India but he definitely won the hearts of the fans by performing brilliantly in all three batting, bowling and fielding.
