Now recently his illegal assets worth 100 crores have been revealed. These properties of his are in the country and abroad. A complaint has been registered against him. After which the government has come into action and investigation is being done.
Where are Ajay’s properties
In this case NewsBust India’s associate Divya NewsBust India has evidence of 26 visits with date, place. Also there is evidence of assets. Ajay has got more property than his income. Two flats in Riviera Elegance in Prahladnagar, Ahmedabad, two big farm houses in Karai Gandhinagar and Shela, commercial properties at prime locations on SG Highway and Commerce Six Road, including a flat in Noida, have properties worth about 66 crores in the country itself.
Ajay is a resident of Srisela village in Pali district. Here too he has lots of land. The rent of all these properties is around Rs 15 lakh per month. Not only this, America’s green card holder Captain Ajay is an NRI account holder. There are also many properties here in the name of his wife.
At the same time, the government has seized the entire cabin including plush furniture bought in the name of Gajsel in the Gandhinagar farm house owned by Ajay Chauhan. Which is currently in the company’s premises.
Ajay was the CEO of GUJSAIL for 13 years.
Ajay was a regulator in the Civil Aviation Department of Gujarat for 18 years. During the same period, he was also the CEO of Gujarat State Aviation Infrastructure Company Limited (GUJSAIL) for 13 years. A complaint was received against him for using aircraft. Which was investigated and the allegations were proved that Ajay was using the government jet used for Chief Minister, Governor to move his family. Due to this he was suspended. He is currently in government service as an accounting manager, but is on long leave. IAS Nitin Sangwan has now been given the charge in his place.
Without the approval of the CM of Gujarat, Ajay traveled and showed expenditure of crores of rupees in the government’s account. In fact, Captain Ajay Chauhan, who held both the posts, had suppressed the report of the Airbus company after the Chief Minister’s aircraft malfunctioned in 2019, in which it was bluntly asked to replace the engine of the aircraft.
Annual commission of 4.80 crores in the name of maintenance
The maintenance of Gujarat government’s new 650 Challenger jet aircraft is around Rs 50 lakh every month. On the contrary, the maintainers used to bill the higher amount from the company and enter Rs 90 lakh on the records. In this way, the government was defrauded of Rs 40 lakh every month, about Rs 4.80 crore in a year.
Fake bills worth lakhs of rupees were also made in the name of repair.
In 2019, the air craft was grounded in Anand due to an engine fault. In 2019 itself, the Airbus company sent a report to the Civil Aviation Department of the state saying that the helicopter’s blade (fan) has cracked and rusted to a great extent, the helicopter’s engine needs to be changed as soon as possible. When the Airbus company gave this very serious alert report, the contract for the maintenance of the Chief Minister’s helicopter was with a Noida-based company named Indocopter. Captain Ajay suppressed the Airbus report to benefit the company.
