India has to remove barriers coming in the way of ease of doing business, the country has made some progress in this direction but it has a long way to go to match Singapore and Hong Kong in this matter. America India Strategic and Partnership Forum (USISPF USISPF) has said this. USISPF President Mukesh Aghi termed the relations between India and America as strong and said that they are growing in a positive way in every aspect. Aghi said that America is also getting the benefit of the boom in the Indian economy. Citing the example of the order of planes given by Air India to Boeing, he said that this has created more than one million high-paying jobs in the US. He further said, “Our guess is that IndiGo is also going to place an order.” India is powering the economic engine of growth for America.
Air India had announced last month that it would buy 470 aircraft from Airbus and Boeing. This is one of the largest orders for aircraft placed by any airline. The estimated size of this entire deal is more than Rs 6.40 lakh crore.
Aghi said, “It is wonderful. Foreign direct investment is also increasing. An alternative to China is being sought in the manufacturing sector and India is becoming a good alternative.
