The Indian Army returned the Chinese soldier who came to his area on Monday. This soldier of the People’s Liberation Army was arrested in Eastern Ladakh on Friday. He was arrested after sneaking into the Indian border on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) on the southern coast of Paigong Tso.

Sources said that the soldier was returned to Chushul Moldo border point at 10 am in the morning.

The area has been under tension between the Indian and Chinese military for more than eight months. It began in May last year after a clash between the two sides in the Pangong Lake area. On Saturday, it was reported by the army that a soldier of PLA had crossed the LAC. After this, Indian soldiers stationed here took him into custody.

China said – soldiers accidentally went across the LAC

China demanded the immediate release of its soldier. According to the People’s Liberation Army, this soldier reached the Indian territory due to darkness and lack of understanding of the area. Therefore, he should be released soon.

The Chinese Army had said that we had informed the Indian Army about this and appealed to them to help in the search of the soldier. The Indian Army told two hours later that our soldier is with them and they will release him after talking to top officers.

Three months ago, a soldier returned

The Indian Army also captured a Chinese soldier in Ladakh three months ago. After talks on both sides, he was returned to the Chushul-Moldo meeting point. This soldier also wandered into Chumar-Demchok area of Ladakh.
