In view of the corona epidemic, the Income Tax Department (Income Tax Department) has once again put forward the last date for filing returns. According to the information received from the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), those who do not have to file an audit report along with their returns, can submit their returns for 2019-20 by 31 December. The last date for this was fixed on 30 November 2020.

According to information received from the Finance Ministry, the last date for filing IT returns has been fixed for January 31, 2021 for taxpayers, whose returns have to be audited.

Earlier in May, the government extended the deadline for filing income tax returns for the fiscal year 2019-20 to 30 November 2020.
