The body of a woman found in a burnt condition in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh has been identified. Police said that the name of this 27-year-old woman is Bhuvaneshwari. She was a software engineer in Hyderabad and worked in Cognizant. The police suspect that the woman was murdered by her husband.
The family had filed a missing report of Bhuvneshwari. Husband Marmareddy Srikanth Reddy had told everyone that he died of corona. The couple was living in Tirupati with their 18-month-old daughter. Bhuvneshwari was working from home due to Corona. Shrikant himself is also an engineer and was associated with an organization. He was unemployed for a few months.
How was the murder revealed?
Tirupati city police chief Ramesh Reddy said that after registering the missing report, we investigated from every angle. In a CCTV footage, the woman’s husband was seen carrying a red suitcase in the premises of his apartment. After a while he was seen taking it out. During this, he is holding his daughter in his arms with one hand. Dragging the suitcase with the other hand.
Bhuvaneshwari’s body was 90% burnt
Police said that Bhuvaneshwari’s body was burnt up to 90%. Investigation revealed that Srikanth had bought a suitcase from Reliance Mart. He used it to dispose of the dead body. Later he tried to burn the dead body. Police have sent samples for forensic examination.
Family wanders in search of daughter
When Srikanth told the relatives and family that Bhuvneshwari had died of corona, the family members wandered in many hospitals and morgues in search of him. Couldn’t find any information anywhere. After that they went to the police.
