The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Monday that it is going to organize the next World T20 in UAE and Oman instead of India. Now the ICC has also confirmed this. The biggest body of international cricket told that the tournament will start on October 17. The final match will be played on November 14.

BCCI will remain the host
The ICC said that BCCI will continue to be the host of this tournament. The matches will be played in four stadiums. These stadiums are Sheikh Zayed (Abudhabi), Dubai International, Sharjah and Oman Cricket Academy Ground.
8 teams in the first round
In the first round of the tournament, 8 teams will play in two groups. The matches of one group will be held in UAE and the matches of the other group will be in Oman. Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Netherlands, Scotland, Namibia, Oman and Papua New Guinea are the teams. Two teams each from both the groups will reach the Super 12. Super-12 matches will also be held in two groups. After this, two teams each from both the groups will advance to the semi-finals.
World T20 will happen after 5 years
The World T20 is a tournament held every two years in the ICC calendar. But, this time it is to be organized after five years. In 2020, this tournament was to be held in Australia. But, it was postponed due to Corona. The host of 2021 was India. But, BCCI has decided to shift the tournament to UAE and Oman in view of Corona and Tax.
