Home Minister Amit Shah has welcomed Supreme Court order on Jagannath Rath Yatra

new Delhi:

The Supreme Court has given the go-ahead to the historic Jagannath Rath Yatra. The court has given permission to withdraw the yatra this year with very strict conditions. The apex court has said in its order that with the conditions, the central and state governments will make arrangements for this rath yatra under the guidelines of Kovid-19. With this, the court said that it is leaving the situation over to the Odisha government. If the situation is seen going out of hand due to travel, then the government can also ban travel. The Supreme Court also said that during the Kalra and the plague, the Rath Yatra took place between limited rules and devotees.
