If you are planning to buy Hero’s best fuel efficient bikes like Splendor and HF Deluxe or scooters like Maestro and Pleasure, then do so by March 31 as Hero Motorcorp has reduced the prices of all bikes and scooters in its line up by 2%. Has announced an increase of Rs. These increased prices will come into effect from April 1.
The increased prices will be applicable on different models in the company’s line-up depending on the variant. The company attributed this to the increase in manufacturing cost due to On-Board Diagnostics-2 (OBD-2) norms. This will now increase the prices of the best mileage Splendor and HF Deluxe by about Rs 1500.
Earlier, the company had increased the prices of its two-wheeler by about Rs 1,500 on December 1, 2022, due to the increase in inflationary cost. At that time also Hero MotoCorp had increased the prices of different models separately.
Why is the company making bikes and scooters expensive?
According to Hero MotoCorp, the vehicles will need an on-board diagnostics (OBD-2) to monitor real-time driving emission (RDE) levels. Real time driving emissions through this device will be able to get information about the emissions being generated by the vehicles at the same time.
Hero MotoCorp will reduce the effect of price hike
Hero MotoCorp has said that it will continue to offer financing solutions to mitigate the impact of the price hike on customers. Earlier last week, Hero MotoCorp had announced that it would manufacture more than one million vehicles in the next 2-3 years from its manufacturing units in India.
Hero MotoCorp will soon bring premium segment bike
Hero MotoCorp is soon going to bring premium segment electric bike in the country. For this, the company has recently signed an agreement with Zero Motorcycles of America. Zero Motorcycles is considered the leading player in electric motorcycles and powertrains in the US. In September 2022, Hero MotoCorp’s board approved an equity investment of up to USD 60 million, or about Rs 585 crore, in California-based Zero Motorcycles.
