In the T20 World Cup starting from October 17, Team India will start its campaign with the match played against Pakistan on October 24. Before this high voltage match, there is a question mark on Hardik Pandya’s fitness. Actually, during IPL Phase-2, Hardik was not seen bowling even an over and it is believed that he will be seen playing as a batsman even during the World Cup.

Ishaan likes before Hardik
Former Indian team captain Gautam Gambhir says that if I have to go with only 5 bowlers, then considering the current performance, I would like to choose Ishan Kishan over Hardik Pandya. If you go with 5 proper bowlers and 6 batsmen then forget about the bowler, Hardik’s rhythm with the bat is also a big concern.

Have to bowl in both the matches
In a Star Sports show, Gambhir said – Hardik Pandya can get a place in the Indian playing XI only if he bowls not only in the nets but also in both the warm-up matches. There is a huge difference between bowling against quality batsmen like Babar Azam in the nets and in the World Cup.

The former opener believes that Pandya cannot bowl at a speed of 115-120 kmph. He said- If you are thinking that you will come and bowl at 115-120 kmph, then I will not take this risk.

Wasn’t even in the Sri Lanka series
Returning to the team from injury on the Sri Lanka tour too, Hardik Pandya bowled only 14 overs in three ODIs and managed to take just two wickets while scoring 97 runs at an average of 48.50. Let us tell you that during the 2018 Asia Cup, Hardik suffered a back injury and since then his performance has also seen a decline. Pandya also had back surgery in the year 2019.
