On Wednesday evening, cases of food poisoning started increasing from the city to the villages of Jaisalmer.

In Jaisalmer, more than 200 people fell ill on Wednesday after consuming packaged fasting items. He was admitted to the hospital due to food poisoning. After eating packaged items, people started having problems like vomiting, nausea, stomach ache. He was immediately taken to the hospital. By late night all the beds in the hospital were full. After the incident, FDA has started raids in many parts of Rajasthan including Jaisalmer, Jodhpur. The youth supplying goods from Jodhpur has also been caught.

Patients started coming one by one at Jaisalmer’s Jawahir Hospital at around 5 pm. Patients continued to come, due to which the crowd increased. There was an atmosphere of chaos everywhere. Patients continued to come till late night. 100 to 200 cases have been reported from the city and rural areas across the district. It is being told that all the people have become ill after eating ‘Bhagar’ eaten during the fast. It is being told of a special brand ‘Manpasand’. The Health Department has warned everyone to avoid consuming ‘Bhagar’ of this brand for the time being.

There were such a large number of cases of food poisoning that the beds in the hospital became full.

Beds have fallen short
The Jaisalmer district administration was thrown into a quandary after a large number of people fell ill. Patients of food poisoning continue to come from different villages and different parts of the city including Kelak, Katodi, Pokaran, Ramdevra, Mohangarh. Beds have become less in the hospital. The corona ward near trauma has also been opened for food poisoning patients.

It is being told that so many patients did not come together before. The administration has alerted the health department and the police. Dr. Revta Ram, a physician posted at Jaisalmer’s Jawahir Hospital, said – People have become ill after eating a special type of ‘Bhagar’. Its symptoms are vomiting, dizziness etc. Everyone is being admitted.

FDA officials said that the preferred brand is being supplied from Nashik. People have become ill after consuming the item of the same brand. FDA has also conducted raids in Jodhpur, Jaisalmer.

Administration-people’s representative reached the hospital
As soon as the information about the incident was received, all the officers of the district administration, ADM, Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar, SP, police staff, MLA Ruparam, former Pradhan Amardeen, District President of Congress Ummed Singh Tanwar and many social workers also came to the hospital and started helping the patients.

One by one, more than 200 cases of food poisoning have reached the hospital.

After the incident of food poisoning from ‘Manpasand’ product in Jaisalmer, FDA has started raids in Jodhpur and other districts including Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer’s Food Safety Officer Praveen Chowdhary said that action has been taken against Goransh Traders located at Mandore Mandi in Jodhpur. Got 3300 kg Manpasand Goransh from Traders. After this, Anurag, who used to supply goods from Nashik, has been caught from Jodhpur. Raids are also going on in Jaisalmer.

The trauma center of Jaisalmer’s Jawahir Hospital became so crowded that the police had to be called. The police pacified the family members of the patients.
