Govt extends validity of motor vehicle documents till Sept 30 | Now driving license, RC and vehicle permit will be valid till 30 September

The central government has once again extended the validity period of documents related to vehicles. This decision has been taken in view of the havoc of Corona in the country. Now driving license (DL), registration certificate (RC) and permit and fitness of vehicles will be valid till 30 September 2021.

The order issued by the Ministry of Road Transport

In the order issued by the Ministry of Road Transport, it has been said that the enforcement officers should consider the validity of all types of permits, driving licenses, vehicle registration and all other related documents till 30 September 2021. It includes all those papers whose validity is going to expire after 1st February 2020 or by 30th September 2021. The ministry has said that this decision will help citizens to take transport related services by following social distancing.

Ministry’s advice- follow the order all the states

The Ministry of Road Transport has advised all the states and union territories to follow this order. The ministry has said that in the interest of citizens, transporters and other organizations working in this difficult time, follow the advisory completely. So that they do not have to face any kind of trouble and difficulties.

Validity extended for the sixth time

In view of Kovid, the ministry has extended the validity period of documents related to the vehicle for the sixth time. First of all, on 30 March 2020, the validity period of driving license, registration certificate, vehicle permit and other necessary documents were extended. After this, the validity period of these papers was also extended on 9 June 2020, 24 August 2020, 27 December 2020, 26 March 2021.
