Information Technology and Communications Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said on Wednesday that the government aims to cross one crore employment figures in the next two years in three sectors of the digital economy – electronics, startups and IT and IT allied services. STPI Director General Arvind Kumar, who was present at the event, said that his organization is providing plug-and-play infrastructure (plug-and-play) with all kinds of facilities in 64 middle and small towns (tier two and tier three) for startups.
We provide seed funding of Rs 5-10 lakh to startups through excellence. Under the Next Generation Incubation Center scheme, we provide a fund of Rs 25 lakh to startups coming from middle and small towns. We have provided benefits to around 65 startups under the scheme and aim to fund 300 startups by 2025.
