The country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki today (Thursday, March 23) has announced to increase the prices of all the vehicles included in its line-up. The company has attributed the increase in prices to higher manufacturing cost along with inflation and regulatory recruitments.

The increased prices will be applicable from 1 April 2023. Maruti Suzuki hasn’t confirmed the scale of the price hike, but has informed that the price hike will vary model-wise.

The company had earlier increased the ex-showroom prices of all models by 1.1% on January 16. Even then the prices of vehicles were increased due to increase in input cost.

Tata hikes prices of commercial vehicles
Tata Motors on Wednesday announced a 5% increase in the prices of all commercial vehicles. These increased prices will be applicable from 1 April 2023. The company has given the reason behind this as the change in BS6 Phase-2 emission norms and the rising cost.

Earlier, the company had increased the prices of its passenger vehicles by 1.2% in February 2023 due to increase in making cost.
