In 2020, under the captaincy of Rani Rampal, the Indian women’s hockey team played the semi-finals of the Olympics for the first time.

A hockey stadium was built in Rae Bareli in the name of Rani Rampal, the star hockey player of the Indian team. For the first time a stadium has been named after a female hockey player. Rani also shared pictures of the stadium on her social media handles where she is inaugurating the stadium along with the staff members.
