The Bangladesh team has suffered a setback before the first ODI against India. The first ODI between India and Bangladesh is to be played in Mirpur on 4th December. Earlier, Bangladesh fast bowler Taskin Ahmed was ruled out of the match due to a back problem. However, it has not been decided whether he will remain in the team for the other two matches of the series. The team management is monitoring his injury. Currently, Shoriful Islam has been called as his replacement in the ODI team. Bangladesh selection committee chief Minhajul confirmed Taskin Ahmed’s exclusion from the first ODI to a cricket website.
Tamim Iqbal also injured
Milhajul told the website that veteran batsman Tamim Iqbal also got injured during practice at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on November 30. He has a back injury. His city scan report is awaited. His medical team is monitoring the injury. Only after the report of the medical team, a decision will be taken regarding his playing in the first ODI against India.
India to play ODI and Test series on Bangladesh tour
India has to play three ODIs and 2 Test series on Bangladesh tour. The first ODI is to be played at Mirpur on 4th December. While the last ODI will be played in Dhaka on 10 December. At the same time, the first Test of the two-Test series will start in Dhaka from 14 December.
