Kisan Aandolan: The Supreme Court had constituted a four-member committee to redress the doubts and grievances of the donors, in the direction of resolving the farmers’ agitation against the new farm laws. The committee members also had Bhupinder Singh Mann, the national president of the Bharatiya Kisan Union but withdrew his name from the committee. Man’s decision to ‘withdraw’ from the committee was made by the United Kisan Morcha (Sanyukt Kisan Morcha) Told his small victory. In his reaction to this development, Rajinder Singh Deepsinghwala, a member of the United Kisan Morcha, said, ‘We are seeing this as our small victory.’ He said that Bhupinder Singh Mann’s resignation has reduced the prestige of the committee appointed by the Supreme Court. Mann used his position for political prestige.
Rajinder Singh Deep Singhwala further said, ‘We should not give any importance to the committee. We will go to a meeting with the government tomorrow with leaders of farmer organizations. The committee is fully pro-government. We want this agricultural law to be repealed under parliamentary procedure.
