Bangladesh cricket team captain Shakib Al Hasan is once again embroiled in controversy. Despite being surrounded by hundreds of people amid tight security, Shakib Al Hasan thrashed a fan with his cap during an event in Chittagong, Bangladesh.
According to media reports in Bangladesh, as soon as Shakib was going to sit in the car, at the same time a fan was trying to snatch his cap. Shakib got angry and thrashed the fan using his cap.
Stumps were uprooted in Dhaka Premier League
Shakib Al Hasan has been embroiled in controversy before. In the Dhaka Premier League in June 2021, Shakib appealed to the umpire during the match. When the umpire did not declare the batsman out, Shakib angrily kicked the stumps. Later, Shakib had a long argument and uprooted the stumps.
The umpire suspended the match on this action of Shakib.
Shakib is captaining in the T20 series against England
Shakib is currently captaining the Bangladesh team in the T20I series against England. In the first T20 match held on 9 March, Bangladesh defeated T20 and ODI world champions England by 6 wickets. Shakib scored 34 runs in 24 balls in the match. Shakib and Afif made an unbeaten partnership of 46 runs off 34 balls to win their team with 12 balls to spare.

Shakib has already been banned
Shakib has been banned for 2 years in 2019. The ICC imposed this ban on him in 2019 for not reporting when he was approached by bookies. This is the case during the series of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. However, after the completion of the ban in December last year, he returned to international cricket.
